Do you deliver?

All wedding cakes are delivered to venue. Pick up is preferred for all celebration cakes and orders but delivery can be arranged, extra charges apply.

How much do your cakes cost?

Cakes are priced according to design, size and the detail required in completing and decorating your cake. For more information please refer to our pricing page.

Can I alter or add to my design after ordering?

A design change can be made with prior notice. For example; if you wish to change the cake flavour, a minimum of 3 weeks notice is required. Additional fees may apply depending on the change made.

Is a deposit required?

A 30% deposit is required on all cake bookings. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. Final payments must be made 7 days prior to your event. Payments are accepted via bank transfer. A Paypal invoice can be issued if you wish to pay via credit card. All PayPal payments will incur an additional 2.9% on the total due.

What are your serving sizes?

There are 3 serving sizes used for the calculation of your cake. Coffee serves: 1 inch x 1 inch slice Party serves: 1 inch x 2 inch slice Dessert serves: 1.5 inch x 2 inch slice Cake heights are generally 4 inches finished for a single tier cake. 6 inch high for an extended height tier and 8 inches high for a double barrel tier. All cakes are cut across the cake and not as wedge serves.

How do I care for my cake?

Cake Culture fondant cakes do not like being refrigerated as they sweat and the colours can run. Keep the cake in the coolest room available (air conditioning is best) before the event. Other cakes will be advised upon collection and/or delivery.

Can you make gluten, egg, nut or dairy-free cakes?

Cake Culture strives to help out as many customers as possible that have allergies or food intolerances, but Cake Culture is not a registered gluten, dairy, egg, nut or soy free kitchen. Every effort is made to ensure all ingredients and equipment used in creating a special cake is free from the requested allergen, but as gluten flours, eggs, nuts, dairy and soy are kept on the premises of Cake Culture, there is a possibility of cross-contamination occurring. Upon ordering/requesting a cake made allergen free you will be asked to sign a disclaimer form acknowledging your understanding of the above.

How far in advance should I order my cake?

For wedding cakes a minimum of 4 months is preferred. In some instances, 2 months notice is possible depending on date availability and style of cake requested. Sugar flowers and special decorations can take weeks to hand make, the advanced booking time allows for this process to happen. For any other celebration cake event like birthdays; a minimum 3 to 4 weeks notices is required. In some cases due to the high level of cake design, 2 months notice would be preferred. Late requests can be accommodated depending on pre-bookings. It is always worth asking!

Do you hire cake stands?

Currently Cake Culture has the following items available for hire; Multi-tiered adjustable cupcake stand Timber cake boards 2 x 6 tier macaron stands A cash bond and hire fee is applicable to these items. Please contact Cake Culture for further details on hire terms & conditions.

Do you offer cake tastings?

Tasting boxes are available for purchase at $50 a pack. Cost is for a 4 cake flavour sample. Each cake sample is a 1 inch x 3 inch slice. Packs need to be ordered at least 2 weeks prior to collection via an order form available from Cake Culture. Contact via email to have one sent to you.

Copied Designs

Cake Culture prides itself on being able to design you a unique cake for your event, but understands that sometimes clients fall in love with a design they have seen online created by another cake designer. Cake Culture does not like to copy other designs, but is more than happy to use the style you bring as inspiration. Frequently Cake Culture will create the design in the same style but with different colours or slightly different embellishments (after discussing with you) so that you get a beautiful cake that us unique to your event.
